Message from the President

Joan Curl

  Last Column

Jim (my husband) and LJ (my son) edited my columns, listened to my speeches, made terrific meals during Sales (complete with appropriate wine) and, most importantly, were a sounding board for problems and ideas.  I love you and thank you.

Our Book Sales increase in size and complexity each year.  Billie Staff, Ann Hemme, Liz Jones and Bill Jones, as chairs of the Book Sale and Book Sale Volunteers, serve with dedicated effort and efficiency.  They ensure that problems are surmounted and sales continue to be fabulously successful.  I have been humbled by the time and thought they put into the organization; on behalf of the entire FOL, I thank them.

Thank you to all the people on the Board who were willing to take on added responsibility to ensure this organization continues to thrive and to the table coordinators, regular sorters and Book Sale volunteers who keep that mountain of books and other items moving out the door.  Our entire community is enriched by your efforts.

Please welcome and support your next President.
